Getting started

Paisa turns a plain-text accounting journal into useful reports for spending, investments, liabilities, and financial plans.

1. Install Paisa as a desktop app, command-line tool, or Docker container.
2. Follow First setup to configure Paisa and add your first transactions.
3. Use the journal examples as a starting point for your currency.
4. When you are ready, import a statement or edit the journal directly.

Start small

You do not need years of transaction history on day one. A recent opening balance, income, regular expenses, and investments are enough to start learning from your data.
